Stephen Winningham joined Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets as Managing Director and Global Head of Financial Institutions in August 2007 after 11 years with Citigroup in the US and Asia.
Stephen is responsible for overseeing the growth of this key part of Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets which provides tailored financial solutions for the insurance sector; fund management firms; multinational, commercial and investment banks; and other financial organisations.
Stephen has over 30 years of experience in finance and investment banking. Before joining Lloyds TSB, he ran Citigroup’s Global Internet Investment Banking practice and led its M&A, Industrials, Energy, Power, Consumer and Real Estate Groups across 10 countries in Asia. During this time Stephen advised on the three-way merger of the Thai Military Bank, DBS Danu Bank and IFCT, and was responsible for a series of major transactions for organisations such as China Telecom, AT&T Wireless and the Malaysia International Shipping Corporation.
Stephen and his team focus on strengthening Lloyds TSB’s relationships with international banks in the US, Europe and Middle East; with growing insurance groups in Europe and Bermuda and with the UK fund management companies.
Stephen holds an MBA degree from Columbia University School of Business and a BA from Colgate University. He also studied economics at the New York University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
