Richard has been with Lloyds TSB for 25 years and has played an important role in the development of its corporate banking business. His successes include involvement in the growth of the Bank’s Leveraged Finance business and developing the Bank’s first specialist Large Corporate offering in London and the South-East.
At the start of 2007, Richard was appointed as Managing Director of Major Corporates, overseeing all business undertaken by the Bank with organisations that have national and international interests requiring complex sector related financial expertise. More recently, Richard has taken on responsibility for our Corporate Banking operations in Northern Europe, Spain and the Middle East.
Under his leadership, the Bank has established dedicated sector specific teams across many different sectors ranging from utilities, telecommunications and food through to property, oil, gas and energy.
Richard’s vision for Major Corporates is to deepen relationships with existing customers to ensure we are their primary contact and to continue to expand the sector portfolios.
Richard is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, an Associate Member of Corporate Treasurers and a member of the ACT Programme and Events Committee.
