Mark Grant

Managing Director and Global Head of Financial Institutions
Mark joined Lloyds Bank in 1978 and has built a varied career with the Group, encompassing roles in client coverage (SME through to Global Corporates), Risk (Chief Credit Officer, USA and Head of Risk, Wholesale and International Banking) and Capital Markets (Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets).
Mark joined Financial Institutions from Debt Capital Markets where he has successfully driven the development of Lloyds TSB from a minor player in the Capital Markets into an increasingly well respected multi-product house, working closely with teams across Corporate Markets to establish the Group as a top-tier bank for its Corporate and Financial Institution clients.
Notable achievements have included being named UK Loan Arranger of the Year in 2008 by Euroweek, establishing the Bank as a regular lead on Sterling and Eurobond issues, securitising in excess of £50bn of assets from the Group’s balance sheet and, despite the turmoil in the capital markets since 2007, taking Capital Markets revenues from £70m in 2005 to almost £350m in 2008.
Mark is an ACIB and also qualified as a member of the Institute of Directors.
